as the sun sets
the moon begins to glow

as if they never met
the man stands alone
carrying what remains
the spark in form of flames
a story left untold

as the tide begins to rise
the waves rush ashore

the man holds firm
a duty to protect
all he holds dear
all that exists to be adored

as the storm rushes near
with words left unsaid
the wind makes it clear

yet the fire still burns
the man feels no fear
